April 3: Day 22
Today has been filled with anticipation. We can’t stop looking at the chart plotter. We will arrive tomorow. After talking to some other cruisers we are going to start at Fatu Hiva. It is a small island that is to the south-east of the Marquesas Islands cluster. We have heard it is the most beautiful of the islands in the Marquesas. I cleaned the boat: floors, bathrooms and a good clean up in the kitchen. Now all we need to do is get there. It it 10PM and our chart plotter says only eleven more hours to go. It is hard to resist looking at it evey five minutes to see how much ground we have made. Today we had two dolphins in the bow during our diner. I was looking forward and trying to see them in the bow when one of them jumped straight into the air and did a flip, like at Sea World. It was stupendous. He must have felt our enthusiasm through the hull and wanted to share it. What an amazing world.
